Brake Inspections, Service and Repair

One of the most important safety features of your vehicle is your brakes. Our ASE certified mechanics can service your brakes no matter what kind of car or truck you have. To help determine when your vehicle may need our expert brake services, here are some indicators that you need to watch for:

Grinding or Squealing

BrakepadscomparisonThat screeching, often high pitched noise coming from your brakes while stopping is coming from a wear indicator. When your brake pads start to look like the set of pads on the left, they are wearing thin. The indicators on the pad come into contact with the metal rotor, causing the grinding or high-pitched noise. Your brakes are letting you know, it’s time for a brake service.

Stopping Causes Pulling to One Side

When you press on the brakes and your steering pulls to the left or right, this can be a sign that your vehicle might have a frozen caliper, maladjusted brakes or an oil and grease leakage.  This can be dangerous to yourself and others especially if left and not fixed, it will worsen over time and use.

Pulsating Pedal

Heat and water can wear down the break rotor, in turn causes a slight pulsation of the pedal when braking. This usually means that the brakes are in need of replacing.

Heavy/Drag During Acceleration

This is usually a result of a frozen emergency brake cable. This can prevented by utilizing your emergency brake regularly.

We can give you a peace of mind knowing your brakes are in good working condition after our expert ASE Certified technicians care.
